If you are not familiar with Gotye (from the Belgian for Walter, Gaultier), he’s not an overnight success story but has been perfecting his craft in his native Australia since 2001, where he has won many awards and achieved platinum sales. With a voice that has been compared to Sting or Peter Gabriel and a distinctive production style we are sure to hear much more from this guy.

The other tracks on the album were recorded in Mali, South Africa and Kenya, so to get a slightly different sound  for this song we recruited  master Kora player and percussionist Mamadou Cissoko from Senegal. We think Mamadou’s sublime Kora playing and drumming along with his sister Binti’s haunting vocals works beautifully with the quirky production style of the original, and we hope you agree!
